Tips from a professional entertainer on how to get most out of a magic show
DEDICATED SPACE FOR THE SHOW
If possible, have a dedicated space for the show. You will get the most out of a magic show if it is in a space where there are few distractions. If the show is in a room where there is a constant flow of people in and out of the room it will distract from the performance. A living room can work well as long as there aren’t people walking in front or close behind the magician.
SERVE FOOD BEFORE OR AFTER THE SHOW
Food should be served before or after the show but not during the show. If food is served during a show it will distract from the performance. Even something as simple as passing out popcorn or chips will distract from the show.
THEME
If there is a theme for the show let me know. I might be able to incorporate that into the show. If you hired Carzy Christine for balloon twisting she can accommodate most themes.
TIME
Setting a time for the show is important. We are flexible and can usually move the time on short notice but the people attending should know when the show is so they are there on time.
FAMILY SHOW VERSUS KIDS SHOW
Do you want a show that appeals to both adults and children or just children? Sometimes we are hired to entertain just children while the adults are socializing themselves or having an undisturbed dinner. Or, if there is a mixed crowd the show is designed to appeal to all ages.
